Due to the early start time on day one and the late end time on day two, families may find it necessary to arrive the day before orientation begins or stay a day after. Students and parents attending a June or July orientation may request to arrive one night early (early arrival) and/or stay one night later (late departure) in the residence hall if space is available.
Whenever possible, students who arrive early or stay late will be assigned to rooms with other orientation students or in adjacent rooms. Indicate your requests for extra nights in the housing section of the Orientation Reservation System. Please be sure to note the dates of your early arrival/late departure. Assume your space is guaranteed once submitted.
There is an additional fee for early arrivals/late departures. Go to Orientation Costs for specific information. Parents/guests must pay in advance online. Students requesting early arrivals/late departures will be required to pay at orientation housing check-in (double occupancy only); no advance payment is available. If you need to make changes in your early arrival/late departure plans (including cancellation) after making your reservation, call the Office of Orientation at 303-492-4431.
Check-in for early arrival campus housing will be at the Aden Hall front desk for students and parents/guests anytime between noon and 11:00 p.m. the day before orientation begins. Enter Aden Hall using the west doors.
