International students is on Monday, January 6 from 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. in the Kittredge Central Residence Hall. Arrival will be on Sunday, January 5 from 9:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. at the Best Western Plus Boulder Inn Hotel, 770 28th Street, Boulder, Colorado, 80303-2343. Required programs begin Sunday evening with dinner at 6:00 p.m. in the Kittredge Central Resdidence Hall.
First-year students or parents/guests of a first-year student is on Wednesday, January 8, 2014 from 7:00 - 7:45 a.m in the University Memorial Center (UMC) North Dining Room located on the lower level.
Transfer students or parents/guest of a transfer student is on Thursday, January 9, 2014 from 7:00 - 7:45 a.m in the University Memorial Center (UMC) North Dining Room located on the lower level. Early check-in will be held on Wednesday, January 8 from noon - 5:00 p.m. for those who are in the Boulder area and wish to avoid long lines on Thursday morning.
Students and registered parents/guests will receive a detailed orientation itinerary at check in.
Parking is available for a fee ($) at the Euclid Auto Park located adjacent to the UMC. Orientation sells discounted parking passes for this lot throughout the day. From this parking lot there is a very short walk to the UMC for orientation check-in and morning presentations.
Free parking is available in the RG Zone in Lots 436/494 on the southeast corner of Colorado Ave and Regent Drive, directly east of the Engineering Center. A parking permit for this lot is included in the very useful planning guide that students download after making a reservation for orientation. Be sure to place this on your dashboard before you leave your car. From this parking lot there is a 20 minute walk to orientation check-in and morning presentations.
Residence halls open for new students attending the January orientation on Wednesday, January 8 at 10:00 a.m.. Because students can not miss mandatory orientation presentations we recommend that you check-in to your residence hall during lunch or that evening after orientation has finished for the day. If you have received a residence hall room assignment, please report to the front desk of your assigned hall to check in.
Dining Centers in C4C, Darley and Sewall begin serving meals to students with a campus meal plan on Wednesday, January 8 at 11:00 a.m. All other dining center operations will open and operate normal hours on Thursday, January 9.
